Firsts...

Big things happening in my life, and it's all happening so quickly!

I realized today that it has been a big summer for me. Not just the wonderful vacations and places I've visited (Charleston, Vancouver, Seattle, Colorado, Topsail Island and Sunset Beach) but also the big events.  Graduated from Grad School (most likely my last official truly structured educational feat), which is a big deal cause I have been in school for at least 20 years, and also of course because now I am a Doctor with letters after my name and a huuuuge diploma!! I took my first truly solo trip for my first job interviews. I rented my first car. I had my first real grown up job offers and accepted my first job. I bought my first car, and today I sold my first car.  That's a lot of firsts!! Soon i will be moving to Colorado, to live in a city where I really only truly know one person and starting my first real job.  Before I move I will be packing up all my childhood things and either selling or storing them. And somehow I am moving in TEN DAYS!!!

It's overwhelming when I think about it all, but mostly exciting. A nervous type of excitement, but still in a good kind of way. As my Dad said today when I sold the car, it's "the end of an era."

 I have truly enjoyed all the time between being a student and being "gainfully employed."  This summer has flown by, but it has been wonderful!!
